Fortnite’s latest season takes players on a mythological journey through Greek gods and monsters. Chapter 5: Season 2, titled “Myths & Mortals,” transports gamers to a world steeped in ancient mythology. The update introduces players to new locations, powerful items, and a unique battle pass filled with iconic characters from Greek lore.

Mythological Locations and Power-ups

Mount Olympus and the underworld, guarded by Cerberus, are among the new locations added to the map. Players can explore these mythological landscapes and encounter legendary creatures. To aid in their adventures, players can collect power-ups and items such as the Wings of Icarus for flight, Zeus’ bolts for hurling lightning bolts, and the upcoming Chains of Hades weapon.

New Battle Pass

The new season introduces a fresh battle pass that allows players to unlock various Greek gods and mythical beings. Among the unlockable characters are Aphrodite, Medusa, and a unique Slurp Juice version of Poseidon. Additionally, later in the season, players can unlock Korra from the animated series The Legend of Korra.

Fortnite’s Evolution into a Platform

The launch of Chapter 5 marked a significant shift for Fortnite, transforming it into more than just a battle royale game. Epic Games has turned Fortnite into a platform for other games, launching with Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival.

Amidst these developments, Sony has launched the Sony ZV-E1, a compact mirrorless full-frame camera targeting content creators and vloggers. This new addition to Sony’s ZV line features a 12-megapixel backside-illuminated full-frame sensor and AI autofocus. The camera is positioned to compete with popular everyday cameras like the iPhone 14 Pro.
